Make Money With Affiliate

Want To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing - Take It Seriously
Gary Ruplinger

When it comes to making money with affiliate marketing, there
are a lot of ways not to make money.

When a typical website owner hears that they can make money
with affiliate marketing, they go out and decide to put some
affiliate links up on their website. Since all the hype makes
affiliate marketing sound easy, they figure people will click
on those links and buy, buy, buy.

Two months later when they still haven't made a single sale,
they decide that affiliate marketing doesn't work. The problem
with affiliate marketing isn't that it doesn't work. It's just
that it's not quite as simple as all the hype makes it sound.

If you want to make money as an affiliate marketer, then you're
going to have to put some effort into making it work. Here are
some tips to making affiliate marketing work for you.

First, you need to treat affiliate marketing like a real part
of your business, and not just some extra links you put up on
your website. Put some thought into what you're promoting. Does
it mesh well with what your visitors or subscribers want? Next,
you need to take the time to review the product you're
promoting.

Yes, that means you're going to need to buy some products.

Yes, you may buy some products that turn out to be garbage. If
they are, you can return them. That's the point of a return
policy.

Your job is to find the products that will actually be useful
to your visitors and subscribers. Once you've found some good
products, you're ready to promote them.

No, you still can't just throw the links up haphazardly. Take
the time to write a review of the product. Make sure you
explain in detail your opinions about the product. Tell them
the good points of the product. Also, try to find a part about
the product that you find to be slightly negative. Not a point
that will break the deal, you are after all recommending this
product because you thought the product was useful and
beneficial. The point of saying something slightly negative is
that you don't sound like a sales pitch. You sound more like a
neutral third party.

When you send your visitors to the sales page already thinking
that this is a product they want, you'll find yourself making
significantly more affiliate sales.

Money Making with Adsense

Make A Great Income With Adsense

Keith George

The Google Adsense program pays the webmaster every time a
visitor of their website clicks on the ads that Google displays
in their web pages. Thus it has become a truly viable and
profitable option to earn a living online. So a correct
positioning of your Google adsense ads can make or break your
success with the Google adsense program.

Like me, many have been scouring the internet for a sure fire
way of making some extra income from your content rich website.
Numerous Internet marketeers have joined the Google Adsense
program and placed Google ads on their websites. But many have
also had the frustration of not getting enough visitors to the
site and again have been scouring the internet for information
on combining Google Adsense and Google Adwords to get targeted
visitors to your site.

Traffic

The effective techniques for high daily Adsense cash creation
must involve both traffic generation and the use of the highest
paying Adsense keyword phrases in your particular industry or
field. Many times you will find that the same keyword phrases
that will attract the highest paying daily Adsense cash ads
will also pull in significant traffic from leading search
engines, meaning that your technique can aim at hitting two
birds with the same stone. To increase the traffic to my
website I write articles and submit to ezines to get traffic as
well as external links. Many back links is one of the keys to
rank your website higher.

Keywords

If you use Adwords keyword tool to select keywords you will be
better off and get some valuable information. Make notes,
notice the main headlines and keywords used. But, filling your
advertisement page with texts too small to read, has the same
color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of
loading them with rich keywords content will most probably earn
you a penalty.

The search engine robot picks out keywords on your page, gets a
grip on what your website is about and delivers links that take
users to sites that interest them. The owner of a site about
acne scars then would be able to do a little research online to
find the highest paying keywords in this area and then - if you
know where those hotspots are - you can place those keywords in
the right areas on the page. Google Adsense has very good
information on how effective the placement of ads are.

Clicks

Every time a visitor to your website clicks on one of the
links, you receive a small amount of revenue. The traffic flow
into the Adsense site dictates the number of clicks a certain
Adsense site may incur. To achieve the Adsense dream, a
webmaster must produce a site that has the factors and
characteristics needed to generate the traffic and clicks it
needs to be profitable.
The webmaster get paid a portion of the money Google receives
from it's advertisers each time someone clicks an ad on your
site.

Relevant

It is really amazing that all you need to do with the AdSense
program is to take a small piece of code, paste it into your
website and instantly relevant ads start appearing. As soon as
your account is approved for adsense ads then the most relevant
ads will show on your web page. With fewer relevant ads you get
fewer clicks with lower Adsense revenues. While ad formatting
and placement may affect ad click through rates, they have
nothing to do with the delivery of relevant ads to your site.
To make the page rank of your site higher you should update it
regularly and you should also introduce a relevant RSS feed.

AdSense Tricks

By Kalena Jordan

Google AdSense is fast becoming the preferred way for people to earn an income online. Forget eBay and multiple affiliate programs - Whether you are a work-at-home mom trying to make a little extra cash or an Internet entrepreneur with hundreds of monetized websites, AdSense is truly the easiest way to earn money.

Simply sign up for a free account, grab your ad code and paste it in your site. But here's the amazing thing - no matter how much money AdSense is making for you right now, a few simple tweaks can increase that amount considerably. And I should know, after learning about these tricks, I more than doubled my AdSense commissions!

The self-proclaimed AdSense gurus and experts are sharing this insider knowledge, for a fee. You can learn all these secrets from them, as long as you buy their e-book, sign up for their seminar or purchase their newsletter. But I'm going to share all their AdSense tricks for free. Here they are:

1) Color code your ads to match your web site palette *exactly*. Don't use frames around your ads. Instead, in the AdSense code generation interface, make sure you choose the same color as your page background for the ad frame and the ad background.

When choosing the ad heading colors, match them to the *exact* color of your page headings. Use the exact same ad background shade as your page background. Use the exact same ad text font and color as the text on your pages. You can see an example of this color-matching on my search engine advice blog - notice the 4 link ad unit and skyscraper text ad unit on the left hand side under the headings Ads by Google as you scroll down the page? The link and text colors are identical to the color palette used throughout the rest of the page.

Near enough is NOT good enough. If you can't quite get the color matching right, use Google's built in color palette together with the RGB to HEX or vice versa color converter on this page. That handy little tool was a life saver for me.

This is probably the one single tweak that made the most difference to my commission levels.

2) Try not to use the traditional horizontal banner style or leaderboard image ads because people are blind to them.

3) Use Google's own AdSense optimization tips and visual heat map to assist you in deciding where on your page to place your AdSense ad code.

4) Research competitive keywords using a keyword research tool such as Keyword Discovery or grab a list of the most popular keywords from various sources and use them in your web site pages where relevant. This article is a good source of frequently searched keywords. Targeting popular keywords should trigger AdSense ads on your pages that utilize those keywords. The more popular the keyword or phrase, the higher AdWords advertisers are generally willing to pay per click for it so the higher your commission on those clicks.

5) Incorporate the AdSense code into your page so that the ads look like a regular part of your site. You can see an example of this on the Internet Dating Stories site where link ads are incorporated within the regular left hand navigation of the site under the heading "Sponsor Links".

6) Use Google's new 4 and 5 link ad units wherever possible. They seem to have a much higher Click Through Rate (CTR) than regular ad styles. You can view all the AdSense ad formats here.

7) Place images next to your ads to attract the eyes. You can see this in place on the search engine article library page at the bottom where 3 images draw your attention to the bottom of the page. But be careful here - the use of arrows or symbols enticing viewers to click are NOT allowed by Google and publishers may NOT label the Google ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements".

8) Use the full allowance of multiple AdSense ads on each of your pages - 3 regular AdSense ads, plus 1 link unit. Use careful placement of these ads so they blend into your site and don't distract from your content. Clever use of this allowance can be seen on this page about bad Internet dating stories where you see:

- 1 horizontal 4 link ad unit towards the top of the page under the first paragraph
- 1 vertical skyscraper text ad unit about halfway down the left hand side under "Sponsor Links"
- 1 vertical skyscraper image ad unit down the left hand side under "Sponsor Links"
- 1 horizontal text banner unit at the bottom of the page with images above each ad.

You can also include 1 AdSense referral button in addition to the 3 other units.

9) Tailor your page content to a particular niche or focus. Page content that is tailored towards a specific theme is more likely to trigger AdWords ads that closely match the content and are therefore more likely to interest your visitors and inspire them to click. DonĂ¢€™t create pages merely for the sake of placing AdSense ads. Visitors (and search engines) can see through this ruse in an instant.

10) Use custom Ad Channels for each of your ad placements, for example, "Top 5 Link Unit Blue Palette" or "Left Side Navigation Image Skyscraper" etc. Tweak, track and measure the success of each of these custom channels so you know what gives you the highest CTR. Some ad formats and colors will work better than others, but you won't know which until you test, test and test some more!

Glossary

Ever wondered what acronyms such as SEO, SEM or SEP stood for? Or what the difference between pay for inclusion and pay per click is? Well look no further, we have compiled an A-Z glossary of terms commonly used on SEO and internet marketing forums.

http://www.seo-guy.com/seo-glossary/

Optimizing your visible text

The optimization you can see
From the last page you learned that each page of your site is going to target a maximum of 3 search phrases (keyword phrases). I will now cover how to write these pages.

Think headings

The H1, H2 ...H6 tags are given special relevancy weight, and by virtue of this logic "if something has an entire paragraph labeled and dedicated to it, it must be important" man I love logic!

It is for this reason that you should plan to integrate your keywords into your heading, you don't have to go extreme just use one H1 for your most important keyword and two H2's, one for each or your secondary keyword phrases.

Also it is not necessary to try to find ways to use H4,H5,H6 as they are not weighted heavily enough to consider. In fact I only use them in my external css file so that I can avoid color font and size tags altogether in my text.

Be the first in line

You should try to get your main keyword phrases as high up in your source code as possible this is again for a logical reason, the logic being "the higher up a word or phrase is in the body of a document the more important it must be." Again ya gotta love logic.

Here is an example of what your page should look like:

Heading with most important keyword
This is the paragraph where your most important keyword should be and if it makes sence try to get your second and third most important keywords in as well here.

Either One of your 2 minor keywords
In this paragraph repeat the above pattern of 1st 2nd and 3rd most important keywords and as you know bolding and italicizing them at least once doesn’t hurt and actually gives you a very small boost ( recommended but don’t go bolding every keyword on the page) and don't forget to repeat another H2 for your third keyword phrase.

Now that you have each of your keywords in your body text at least once feel free to finish writing your page in a logical manner but try to sprinkle your keywords throughout the center of the document.

Once you reach the final paragraph this is a good time to "rinse and repeat" step one as without the headings. Try to write a keyword rich last paragraph as spiders pay particular attention to the beginning and then the end of the document.

The reason for this (GO LOGIC) is that if you started off a document talking about a certain subset of topics and you are still talking about them at the end of a document then THEY MUST BE IMPORTANT and search results try to reflect this. It is a bit like trying to write a Thesis statement and then trying to write a conclusion that reiterates the main points covered. Now isn't this easy.

Keyword Density
The final point on visible text is keyword density. Simply stated keyword density is the number of occurrences of a keyword divided by the total word count. For this I try to keep my initial density to between 3-7% however this number may have to change depending on the level of competition.

Also be warned that the text used in anchors effects your density. Don't worry if your initial density is lower than that of your competitors as you will learn later in this article there are many ways to effect your keyword density other than placing your keywords in your visible text.

Affiliate Marketing -an eBay Listing

Did you know that the average affiliate marketer can have their own eBay website located right on their very own webpage?

It's a Javascript code that eBay provides that allows you to choose products that you want to promote. The best part is that you get paid commissions by eBay for every person that signs up as a new eBay customer and / or wins an auction.

The commissions on auction listings are for the listings fees only so the more expensive the item that you select to target, the more commissions you stand to make.

I did this over the past holiday season and did quite well promoting the Nintendo Wii system that everybody was after.

It was quite amazing logging into my account everyday and watching the commissions (not to mention the Adsense revenue) rolling in. I found myself giggling every time I checked my stats.

Here's how to set this up on your webpage:

1. Find some products that are selling well on eBay. Check out the eBay Pulse section, eBay Popular Products as well as completed listings.

2. Signup as a Commission Junction affiliate as they are the official affiliate program for eBay. You need to have your website approved by eBay to become an official affiliate for them.

3. Go to http://affiliates.ebay.com/tools/editor-kit/ to setup your eBay listings after you've received approval by eBay.

4. Follow the instructions on this page. eBay provides a User Guide to help walk you through. You'll need to make sure you enter your Commission Junction affiliate number in order to receive your commissions.

5. Try to provide as many auctions listings as your webpage will esthetically allow so there's a nice sampling of auctions to choose from.

6. Take the code that you get and place it on your webpage. That's all you need to do.

You may find you rank better in the search engines if you also provide related content such as articles on this page.

For additional revenue you also may want to consider adding Adsense to receive clicks from those who may not be interested in the eBay auctions but are searching on the topic.

To promote your affiliate marketing "eBay" site, just drive traffic to your page using either pay per click advertising or article marketing.

Starting With Web Site Marketing

Internet marketing will never exist without a good web site.

What does a good web site mean? It is a site with very high

traffic of visitors; fast loading time and tons of good

contents. Successful companies who earned and made the most out

of internet web site marketing have discovered and applied the

strategies to make it work.

Internet web site marketing starts with a good domain name. Just

like any brand names, a domain name carries the whole company in

one to two attached words in summary. Getting a ".com" looks

competitive enough with a short but powerful choice of well-

studied domain name.

It has to be easy to remember and appealing to pronounce. It

could cost high if the name is too good, or you could think of a

unique combination of names and make way to a low cost domain

name. Registering and acquiring it marks the beginning of online

adventure and complexities.

The advantage of Internet web site marketing is the

interactivity. People hooked online can get involved easily and

privately without worrying about personal intervention. A deal

can be finished discreetly without the need to know so much. Of

course, for the host site, there is nothing untraceable in the

Internet. IP addresses left in each visit is the mark in itself.

But this is a not a big issue as long as the client pays well

and keeps on coming back as a good customer.

There are many ways of keeping visitors from coming back to a

web site with tangible and intangible items as long as there are

many advantages they can get from visiting. A membership site is

one of the ways of getting clients to stay connected to your

site. This is not an easy task because it involves keeping

private information from different people coming from different

countries. It will be more reliable to have a server set-up

exclusively for the subscribers.

Therefore, it will be quite costly to maintain a membership site

needing high allocation for bandwidth to accommodate the influx

of members. Again, to gain members, there must be something in

the site worth registering for. It could be a forum where they

can exchange ideas in a group that embrace their interests.

That is just one out of many ideas done by websites before

pushing aggressively with their marketing plans. Being involved

in the Internet means establishing good links as well. A good

content can attract other sites that will link yours and make it

popular.

Web site marketing in the Internet involves studying of Stats

and related information to know if the site itself is getting

its desired guests. A dedicated person keeping track of site

traffic can be assigned to watch over errors in the web, study

which content has the highest visit, track which product sells

the most, and read all messages, comments and other necessary

information.

It means the site has to be updated all the time, equipped with

news and actions to keep it alive and flowing. Updates have to

be focused based on the gathered Stats and records. There is no

easy way or short cut to success of web site marketing other

than careful planning on how the contents of the web can boost

its own marketing possibilities. The reward with the set-up is

the capability to hire people for jobs, whether online or

offline.

Internet Marketing Miracles

Google Adwords Marketing

This is my second article series of Internet Marketing Miracles. Today, we will discuss about Google Adwords Marketing and how it is affecting the whole marketing industry, in general, and the product owners and marketers, in particular.

Advertising in Google Adwords has been the most lucrative form of online advertising never seen since the birth of the Internet. It is instantaneous and you could receive sales minutes after you finalized your campaign. Adwords guru, Perry Marshall, calls it as "the fastest crash course on true, real-life, street-level direct marketing".

It is the only online advertising mode where you can generate traffic to your website within 10 minutes of campaign, to millions of targeted traffic from a minimum advertising budget of just $5.

Pioneered by Overture (formerly Goto.com, now known as Yahoo! Search Marketing), it was not known to many until Google use this campaign as an advertising medium. Creating campaign is a process and is not for everyone. You need to use some keyword search tool and campaign analysis and techniques in your campaign before you can be successful in this venture.

Google Adwords Defined :

Adwords advertising is a text link ads you can see as "sponsored ads" located at the top or just a text block at the right - of your Google search results whenever you search for some products or services. Also known as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, bidders can then bid on a cost per million (CPM) basis for block advertisements. Your advertisement will then be shown to the content network site know as Adsense, the other side of Google advertising model.

When you create a campaign (text ads), you will bid for a series of words or phrases (called as keywords) as your anchor text that will link to your website domain or to your affiliate domain page. Done correctly, you could have a very profitable return of investment (ROI) and when done wrongly, could be very disastrous to your advertising budget. Due to the complexity of this system, most companies are hiring Consultants to do the campaigns for them.

What is Google Adsense ?

Google Adsense is a form of advertising medium used by Webmasters to monetize on the contents of their webpages. Blocks displayed could be text, images and recently video advertisements. Adsense are displayed via javascript generated iframes and the text displayed are always relevant to the contents of your webpages. The monetization of your page depends on how well you place the location of your adsense blocks. Although placement plays a vital role in your click-through, color and text font place an important aspect in your campaign. Try to experiment with the background color, font and text colors to achieve the desired click-through campaign and, hence, maximizing your adsense income.

If your niche site is www.aboutdogs.com , Adsense will display an ads relating to your contents, like "dog foods", "dog grooming ebooks" and, if you specify a targeted country, could even show a "veterinary clinic" near your area. Contextual ads change whenever the content of the page change as well. What makes this advertising relevant is majority of your customers are targeted, that is, looking for real information as per their keywords search.

Using Adwords and Adsense in your internet marketing campaign, when done right, could be very profitable. In my more than a year in online marketing, i have witnessed dozens of ordinary people making a "modest $200 to $60,000" per month income from digital ebook sales - using Adwords campaign. Selling digital information is very effective using Google Adwords campaign. Why selling digital products are the best home business today? For simple reason, it doesn't require you to store and send the package. No inventory and no packaging as there are no physical products to attend to. Everything is done in automation. If you're an Internet Marketer, you maybe aware of this selling strategy.

Adwords campaign is defined by different sets of permutations as follows:

1) Broad Match : Google's default option. When someone search for online dating, your keyword will appear when someone search "online" or "dating". It is less targeted than the exact and phrase match. With this type of campaign, you may receive very less click-through and it could drain you advertising budget if you don't do proper keyword search.

2) Phrase Match : Quotation marks are integrated to emphasize a phrase. When you campaign for "online dating", your ads will be seen be someone search "online dating" like "adult online dating" but not for "date online" search. It is more targeted than broad match but less effective than exact match.

3) Exact Match : Brackets are used to emphasize the search. When you campaign for [online dating], it will show up on the search without any other terms in the query. It will not show up when someone search for "online dating resources" or "online dating guides". You will receive the most clicks even though you will receive fewer impressions for this search.

4) Negative Keywords : When your keyword is "online dating" and you add negative keyword -guide, your ad will not appear when someone search for "online dating guide". You can apply this option at both Ad Group and campaign level.

The concept of Adwords is very simple, yet, very complex and tricky. What you believe is your best campaign could be your worst keyword campaign. So, take time to muster the art of proper keyword marketing, do proper research, take advise, read reports, buy ebooks about Adword guides, implement it, learn from your mistakes and you will see success in the long run.

Article Marketing !

The importance of articles in today's websites and internet based companies are immeasurable. They dictate a lot in the success and the drive of traffic into one's site. It has become a key element in making a site work and earns a profit. A website operator and owner must have the good sense to include articles in his or her site that will work for them and earn them the many benefits articles can give to their site.

Articles have been known to be the driving force in driving traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits and more potential for other income generating schemes as well.

But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles; they have certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your site. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more. They would also be able to recommend your site to others.

Here are some tips to help you and assist you in making your articles. Below you will read about four things all articles must have to make it successful and helpful in making your site a profit earning and traffic overflowing site.

* Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific something. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera). It could be anything they want.

The Important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able t have articles about cars and their parts. There are many tools in the internet that provides service in helping a webmaster out in determining what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly sought out. You can use this tool to determine what keywords to use and write about.

* Keyword Density

Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to "feel" its presence. Articles should at least have ten to fifteen percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used on an article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. A low number may be ignored by the search engines.

* Good Article Content

Like what is stated above, you cannot just riddle an article with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you. They will be able to trust you and your products.

* Linking Articles

And another important thing to remember. If you are going to submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON'T ever forget to include a link to your site. A little resource box with a brief description of your site and you should always be placed right after your articles that you have submitted. If people like your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site.

The Super Affiliate Secrets!

If you're anything like me you've likely bought ebooks telling

you how you can earn big amounts of cash selling other peoples'

products. Unfortunately, most of these internet gurus wouldn't

tell you their most profitable secrets.

But now, there is a guy who you might call him an "anti-guru",

and he is going to demonstrates the exact methods he's using to

generate up to $15,000 per week as an affiliate, in his famous

ebook: Affiliate Project X.

Affiliate Project X teaches you six different ways of making

more money than you have ever made before, and most of these

methods can be applied by both experienced marketers and

beginners.

Brief review the six money making methods of the Affiliate

Project X:

1. THE LEECH - this is about pre-selling. There's no need for me

to emphasize how important pre-selling is, and this is taken to

an entirely new level in ProjectX. You learn when to use the

hard-sell approach and when not to.

2. THE AFFILIATE DIARY - You've heard it everywhere - "The list

is king! The money is in the list!" What if you have no list?

ProjectX provides you with details of how to build a good opt-in

list which will bring you money for years to come.

3. THE WORKHORSE - If you have no cash available to invest in

your project, don't worry. ProjectX shows you how to get off the

ground running without a website or a domain. You can make $200

each and every day if you put in the work, and that's not a

limit! ProjectX shows you how.

4. THE THIEF IN THE NIGHT - ProjectX shows you how you can rob

the super-affilates of their ideas, and they can't do a thing to

stop you.

5. COPY THE BEST PART 2 - If you have Keyword Elite, this makes

it easier, though everything can be achieved without it. It just

takes a little more work, and ProjectX shows you both ways.

6. THE OPPORTUNIST - The secrets of how to select the products

in demand while they are hot - keep ahead of your competition by

selling what they have yet to come across. I'm a fairly

experienced marketer myself, but, I am honest, I'd never heard

of some of these techniques being discussed before, and truly

believe that this is the first time that some of these secrets

have been made public. In fact, these revelations have angered

some top marketers!

You get all this without any risk whatsoever, because you get 8

weeks to try it out and if you decide it is not for you, just

ask for your money back and you get it without any quibbling or

questions.

Once you master the methods of Affiliate ProjectX, you will be

ready to consider multiples streams of income. You will reach

this stage sooner than you think. Believe me, Affiliate ProjectX

you are looking at a number of income streams.

Earn Money While Online?

Okay, let's lay it out here: can you really earn money while online?

Yes. But...

Sorry, I had to throw that conditional 'but' in there because you deserve to hear honesty if you are going to dive into the internet money pool and hope to swim.

The 'but' part of the equation is there for many reasons actually. Probably the first of which is the fact that when most people head to the internet, they expect things and results to happen as fast as results come back from search engines. You know...'answered in 0.0012 second.'

Guess what folks, earning money while online doesn't happen in 0.0012 seconds.

Now the reality of things is that if you want to go the natural way, meaning build a website and add content daily and eventually build up a following, that takes months. Heck, Google won't look at you seriously until they know you you're not going to skip town any time soon.

But they will come and if you are patient, they will reward you with nice rankings.

Want faster ways to earn money while online? No problem. There are thousands of ways of making money MUCH faster than the slow and steady method. The best way to do that is to find the latest and greatest "internet speeday" idea and get on the EASIEST, LEAST COMPLICATED ones right as they come up. Internet speedway ideas are just fancy ways of saying the newest internet marketing plans that have instant gravity (popularity) and has people throwing themselves at.

Your best best with these is to simply build opt-in pages (THAT GOOGLE DEEMS ACCEPTABLE) and start growing a list for yourself.

So if you're wondering if I earn money while online, the answer is that I do. I just go the slow and steady route. Because I'm in this for the long haul.

Low Cost E-Marketing!

Like many small business owners, I work with a small marketing budget. Okay, truth be told, I hate to spend money on advertising. Especially if I can get better exposure at a very low cost, sometimes even FREE!

During the past three years online, I've learned some great ways to do just that. Today I'd like to share them with you. Don't worry, I'm not going to tell you to spend days and days at free classified sites or newsgroups. The methods I'll be sharing with you are much more powerful.

So how does the cost-conscious marketer get the best free and low-cost exposure? Simple. By utilizing various forms of the best free marketing tool ever invented... Email!

There are many ways to utilize email marketing. For the most part, email marketing can be broken down into two distinct categories...

Targeted and Untargeted.

First I'll touch on the untargeted, just to show you why it is a waste of time.

UNTARGETED EMAIL MARKETING

Untargeted email marketing on the internet usually takes on the form of "Unsolicited Bulk Email". Whether you are doing it yourself or hiring one of the thousands of email blasting companies online, it makes no difference. Bulk email is NOT a smart way to market.

Let me explain exactly why...

"Spamming", or sending mass email to "unqualified" email addresses is considered bad "netiquette". If you send unsolicited email to addresses that do not want commercial email, not only do you risk the reputation of your business, you can get into more trouble than you would expect.

What kind of trouble?

Well, since many ISP's do not allow this activity, they will discontinue your account as soon as the inevitable complaints start to trickle in.

If you want better results without the risk, consider the following alternatives...

TARGETED EMAIL MARKETING

Targeted email marketing works. Truly targeted email means getting your email to recipients that HAVE approved of it. Not only do your get better results, you won't have to worry about ISP cancellation and more importantly, the reputation of your business.

Here are the best targeted email marketing methods I've used. (Listed from most expensive to least expensive.)

"Opt In" email list rental.
Ezine advertising.
Ezine publishing.
Email Discussion group participation.
Here are details on how I utilize each...
"Opt In" email list rental

Did you know that you can actually rent email lists of people who have approved email about certain topics.

(Just about any topic imaginable!)

This method is not the cheapest form of targeted email marketing, but it works! On average, you'll have to spend about ten to fifteen cents per address. The companies that rent the addresses even do the mailing for you. You just sit back and wait for the orders!

When I released my book, "Insider Internet Marketing", I used this method and sold a few thousand dollars worth of books in a two day span. The company I used is called Postmasterdirect.

Here are three more companies that offer direct "opt-in" email marketing...

Htmail - http://www.htmail.com/customer.html

Targ-It - http://www.targ-it.com

Ezine advertising

I'm a big fan of ezine advertising and regularly utilize this low budget technique. I'm not just saying that to drum up advertisers for my own newsletter, actually I have a waiting list of about a month just to get an ad in here.

Why? Quite simply, email advertising works!

Take a look at the advertising section of your favorite email ezine. The reason there are so many ads there is because the advertisers get results. Not only do you reach your target audience, you reach them by the thousands. Of all the online marketing methods available, ezine advertising could be the most effective.

Many larger companies are just starting to realize this and are entering into this exciting new advertising medium. Compared with the high costs of web site banner advertising, ezine advertising is a bargain.

Ezine publishing

One step better than "advertising" in ezines, is actually publishing your own. If you are not already publishing your own e-newsletter, I highly recommend you do so. It is much easier than you might imagine.

Your customers and prospects will constantly be "in touch" and your ezine can keep them abreast of new products and services as you make them available. You can also generate income offering classified or sponsorship advertising if you wish.

Unlike traditional newsletters, there are no printing or postage costs. Since your own cost is zero, you can offer free subscriptions, thus insuring a steady flow of new prospects.

To get started publishing your own ezine, you do not need to pay for list management. You can manage and deliver your ezine yourself with a good email program like Qualcomm's Eudora or Pegasus Mail by David Harrris. These are the best email programs available on the internet and they can be downloaded for free at the following URL's

http://www.eudora.com

http://www.pegasus.usa.com

Once you have your email program installed, practice mailing to a few people at once by using the BCC (blind carbon copy) feature. It's important to use the BCC field when mailing to a list. This insures that everyone on the list does not see other email addresses on the list. No one wants their email address publicized all over the net.

After you've perfected your emailing skills, all you need is some subscribers. That's easy, simply post a message announcing your newsletter to the "NewList Announcement List".
Full details on posting are here:

http://scout.cs.wisc.edu/scout/new-list/format.html

Email discussion group participation.

An email discussion group is delivered via email like an email newsletter. But a discussion list differs from an email newsletter in
one major way -- you are allowed to voice your opinion, usually through a moderator.

Discussion lists also allow you to ask for help from others with similar interests. What's more, you can assist people in need while your sig file (the footer you include at the end of every email message you send) invites readers to your site. Discussion group marketing works because the posts are delivered directly TO a targeted audience. Once again, push marketing at it's finest! In addition to posting to discussion groups you should consider advertising if the group you join offers it.

No matter what you are marketing online, participating in discussion lists makes sense. Not only will you learn some valuable information, it's is a great way to soft-sell some of your wares.

To find some discussion groups on your particular area of interest, visit http://www.e-groups.com. While you're there you can even start a group of your own!

Now that you are armed with the facts about email marketing, go out and start your email marketing campaign today! And remember, whatever email marketing method you choose, be sure that everything single email you send out includes your URL and a brief description of exactly how YOU can be of service to anyone who may be reading that email!

How Search Engines Work??

Search engines are the key to finding specific information on the vast expanse of the World Wide Web. Without sophisticated search engines, it would be virtually impossible to locate anything on the Web without knowing a specific URL. But do you know how search engines work? And do you know what makes some search engines more effective than others?
When people use the term search engine in relation to the Web, they are usually referring to the actual search forms that searches through databases of HTML documents, initially gathered by a robot.

There are basically three types of search engines: Those that are powered by robots (called crawlers; ants or spiders) and those that are powered by human submissions; and those that are a hybrid of the two.

Crawler-based search engines are those that use automated software agents (called crawlers) that visit a Web site, read the information on the actual site, read the site's meta tags and also follow the links that the site connects to performing indexing on all linked Web sites as well. The crawler returns all that information back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. The crawler will periodically return to the sites to check for any information that has changed. The frequency with which this happens is determined by the administrators of the search engine.

Human-powered search engines rely on humans to submit information that is subsequently indexed and catalogued. Only information that is submitted is put into the index.
Key Terms To Understanding Web Search Engines
spider trap
A condition of dynamic Web sites in which a search engine’s spider becomes trapped in an endless loop of code.

search engine
A program that searches documents for specified keywords and returns a list of the documents where the keywords were found.

meta tag
A special HTML tag that provides information about a Web page.

deep link
A hyperlink either on a Web page or in the results of a search engine query to a page on a Web site other than the site’s home page.

robot
A program that runs automatically without human intervention.

In both cases, when you query a search engine to locate information, you're actually searching through the index that the search engine has created —you are not actually searching the Web. These indices are giant databases of information that is collected and stored and subsequently searched. This explains why sometimes a search on a commercial search engine, such as Yahoo! or Google, will return results that are, in fact, dead links. Since the search results are based on the index, if the index hasn't been updated since a Web page became invalid the search engine treats the page as still an active link even though it no longer is. It will remain that way until the index is updated.

So why will the same search on different search engines produce different results? Part of the answer to that question is because not all indices are going to be exactly the same. It depends on what the spiders find or what the humans submitted. But more important, not every search engine uses the same algorithm to search through the indices. The algorithm is what the search engines use to determine the relevance of the information in the index to what the user is searching for.

One of the elements that a search engine algorithm scans for is the frequency and location of keywords on a Web page. Those with higher frequency are typically considered more relevant. But search engine technology is becoming sophisticated in its attempt to discourage what is known as keyword stuffing, or spamdexing.

Another common element that algorithms analyze is the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By analyzing how pages link to each other, an engine can both determine what a page is about (if the keywords of the linked pages are similar to the keywords on the original page) and whether that page is considered "important" and deserving of a boost in ranking. Just as the technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated to ignore keyword stuffing, it is also becoming more savvy to Web masters who build artificial links into their sites in order to build an artificial ranking.

What Is SEO??

Short for search engine optimization, the process of increasing the amount of visitors to a Web site by ranking high in the search results of a search engine.

The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that the web site will be visited by a user.
It is common practice for Internet users to not click through pages and pages of search results, so where a site ranks in a search is essential for directing more traffic toward the site.

SEO helps to ensure that a site is accessible to a search engine and improves the chances that the site will be found by the search engine.
